On-Site Visits
I am thrilled at the prospect of visiting your church in person. Although our model primarily operates remotely, there's a distinct and invaluable element that can only be achieved through an on-site visit to your congregation.
Having conducted these visits over the years, I've gained valuable insights into the experience – both in terms of how it benefits me and the church. Here are some considerations as you contemplate an on-site visit:
Duration: The visit is limited to a maximum of 2 nights. I am flexible to arrive as early as possible on day one and depart no later than 5 p.m. on day three. This allows me to stay engaged with my home church and maintain equal support for all the churches myXP collaborates with. While Sunday availability is possible, careful planning is needed due to commitments at my local church.
Travel Arrangements: I will handle all travel arrangements personally and submit a report for reimbursement. I will be using credit cards with excellent travel protections and am unwilling to travel without them due to the frequent need to use these benefits.
Fee/Expenses: There is no extra charge for RemoteXP churches. Nevertheless, the church will be responsible for the expenses linked to the visit. While I recognize that there are creative approaches to economize on the items listed below (i.e. stay with a church member, rely on rides from people, etc…), please note that as we do not impose any additional fee, these are the essential items needed for the trip:
Flight: Coach tickets on a major airline, likely Delta, given its hub in SLC.
Hotel Room: A basic room in a clean, medium-level hotel to recharge as I am an introvert.
Rental Car: A basic rental car and fuel provide me with the necessary freedom to utilize downtime effectively. My travel credit cards cover all insurances.
Misc Costs: This encompasses meals, airport transportation, and any necessary purchases for the trip. These costs are typically minimal.
Availability and Focus: Once dates are finalized, I am available to meet from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the visit. I am committed to laser-focusing on your church, but may occasionally need to step away to attend calls or address Basecamp matters to handle any emergency situations that may arise.
I look forward to the opportunity to connect with your congregation and contribute to the growth and development of your church community.
